HarpClassClass Locations
Harp lessons occur in the private studio in Diamond Bar, Artist in Residence venues and in the comfort of your home via SKYPE, FaceTime or Google Hangout video calls.

Introductory Class:  The Harp Encounter
New students enjoy a six week introduction course, learning to play a tune by ear right away. At the end of it, they are free to choose to continue study or conclude their Harp Encounter.  Continuing students register for on-going studies, based on course selections.

Learning Process & Content
Students receive hands-on experience in learning the harp. This unique, creative and fun approach employs intuitive movement and music-making techniques.

Sets of tunes are learnt by ear and gradually layering on skills at the student’s own pace. The result is musical fluency at every level where learners achieve a play list (repertiore) they may perform and share with family and friends in casual settings, personal enjoyment or prepare them for greater goals like recitals, concerts, college or vocation.

Students receive custom lesson plans, covering most genres of music: Celtic, Sacred, Folk, Classical, Children’s music, Popular, Jazz, Renaissance, Worldbeat, Rock, Contemporary and new original compositions and arrangements.

Goals
Ultimately we teach students HOW to learn and fluently “speak” the language of music through friendly, patient encouragement.

We proudly train our very own Intuitive Harp ™ curriculum; the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music and the Irish Harp College curricula.
